The OEE (European Savings Institute) was created in September, 1999 with two main objectives: collect European savings-related information, encourage studies and research contributing to the public debate.

Such an ambition requires to gather the efforts of actors based throughout Europe and I am pleased with the enthusiasm and quality of work of our members.

Besides, the teams of the OEE work for European institutions on important themes concerning savings, such as the comparison of households savings behabiours in the European Union members States, asset management, overindedtedness or the statutory and legislative stakes.

These works have resulted in flows of regular information and in working partnerships, for the collection and the harmonization of data and for the conduct of research works.
